Our annual Kenton tree planting with Friends of Trees is here again on Saturday, February 6th.
It will be held at our own Portland Village School @7654 N Delaware Avenue; Portland, Oregon, 97217.

We welcome any of you who have planted trees in the past, or anyone interested in having a really fun day, to come out and join us on a planting team to plant 100 (and counting) trees in Kenton.

If you are not inclined to get dirty, we need helpers to make soup for our famous soup feed, (we try to have 20-30 different soups!), or with other food related things.

Not a cook?  We need helpers in many other ways- come out and meet some neighbors- we would really love to have you!

Let me know if you would like to help out and I will fit you with a job that works for you.

We are in need of open bed trucks on the planing day- even if you can’t attend the event, could we borrow your truck?

We are also looking for any donations for door prizes. Gift certificates for services or goods would be great. Friends of Trees is a 501c3 non profit and your gift can be tax deductible. This has been the 7th year (!) I have been organizing here in the Kenton Neighborhood. Every year I have met more and more of you, my amazing neighbors-and it has been an absolute blast- thank you!
I really love Kenton and the community that we have here.
Sad news, I am moving out of our neighborhood and will be retiring from my post as Neighborhood Coordinator. Happily, Alyssa Phelps, my Co-coordinator, will be taking over next year….and hopefully I will buy a new house in Kenton and I will be able to stay on as your friendly neighborhood tree coordinator.
I hope to see you out on Saturday February 6th!
