Stewardship Saturday: Whitaker Ponds Work Party

/ Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 / No Comments »

Over the last several years you, our volunteers, have planted hundreds of native plants around Whitaker Ponds Nature Park. Now you can help these plants thrive by sheet mulching and removing invasive plant competitors. Many hands make light work, so register your friends and family now for this group-friendly volunteer activity.

We’ll be mulching plants, planting natives and helping beautify the grounds. This event runs rain or shine! Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided.
