Title: Basic Naturescaping Workshop
Start Time: 1 pm
Date: Sunday, November 15th
In this introductory workshop we introduce the concept of naturescaping. We’ll also explore:
• time and maintenance savings
• reduction/elimination of water and chemical use
• increasing and improving wildlife habitat
• watershed stewardship
• basic site or project planning and many other great gardening tips
Workshop participants get to view before and after naturescaping examples, take a field trip to a nearby project, get advice on landscape design and native gardening, network with neighbors, and identify native plants. Every participant receives a comprehensive workbook and a native plant to help them get started.
Even if you discover that you will need the help of a landscaper or designer with your project, you’ll have the framework to make decisions and communicate your desires to your contractor.
