Mayfly is looking to close N Fenwick outside their location at 8350 N Fenwick Ave to establish a plaza area. See the notice from Mayfly below:
Hi Kenton Neighbors!
We thank you for taking the time to provide feedback as well as giving the opportunity for us to address any concerns you may have about our project.
As you well know, this year has been a very difficult one for small businesses all across the country. Many businesses have sadly already closed due to the COVID-19 crisis, and we fear that many more will close over the next 6 months.
Luckily, Mayfly has been able to adapt to the many different situations that we have been thrown into this year, and we are looking for ways to make sure that we will survive the winter as a business, but more importantly as a hub that provides a space for those in our community to gather. We envision having stalls for vendors, periodic food trucks and the occasional band with all events wrapping up at 8pm, and the plaza closing no later than 10pm.
We are working with the city to gauge the viability of closing down the one block section of Fenwick directly adjacent to our Taproom. We have drawn up the formal traffic plans that would go into effect to safely and efficiently re-route traffic around our winter plaza. This plan is attached with arrows to show traffic flow and the signage that we will provide at each intersection.
We understand that no matter what, this plaza project will affect the daily routines of all of our neighbors, and we view it as our job to make sure that we address all concerns and minimize that effect on us all.
We are asking that you please provide any feedback and concerns you may have so that we can make sure that our project works best for all of us in the neighborhood. If you could please email our team at firstname.lastname@example.org with comments, we will address them as soon as possible.
