UPDATE: Survey is out. PBOT will host an open house on October 2nd, 6-8pm, at the Historic Kenton Firehouse (8105 N Brandon Ave) to get feedback on how N Denver should be configured after its repaved from N Lombard to N Watts. Current options are to keep generally the same configuration without a center lane on N Denver or implement a protected bike lane.
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will attend the KNA Board meeting next Wednesday, the 12th, 7pm, at the Historic Kenton Firehouse (8105 N Brandon Ave) to restart discussions on repaving N Denver from N Lombard to N Watts. All neighbors are encouraged to attend.
In particular, PBOT wants to know how neighbors feel about the current configuration of the street and if any re-configuration is necessary after it’s paved.
PBOT had intended to pave and re-configure this stretch of N Denver with a protected bike lane this summer, as was done on N Rosa Parks, and submitted a completed design at the KNA meeting in April. In July, PBOT announced the project had been delayed until next summer due to unspecified neighborhood concerns and would be doing a reset on the project.
The KNA also expects PBOT to release an online survey, have an open house and send out mailers as part of their engagement process.
