Naturescaping Garden Tours – Three Locations in Kenton!!

Wondering what an urban wildlife sanctuary looks like or need some inspiration?  East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District and Backyard Habitat have teamed up to sponsor the Naturescaping Yard TourEnjoy behind the scenes access to a variety of Certified Backyard Habitats where you can tour the yard, chat with our garden hosts and get great ideas on how to naturescape your own yard to create great backyard habitats.

All yards on the tour are Gold or Platinum Certified Backyard Habitats which means the hosts have naturescaped using native plants, removed invasive plants, and are increasing their wildlife stewardship and stormwater management on-site.

Once registered a site technician will come to your home and work with you to develop a plan and get you started.  The program is low cost and will offer you useful tools, lots of great information about creating habitat, wildlife stewardship, planting with native plants, removing invasives and storm water management.
